Hyphex started playing together in 2003 and is made up of:
- Guillaume Nouet (vocals),
- Benjamin Fourmond (guitars),
- Antoine Thebault (bass),
- Olivier Piau (drums).
Until January 22 2007 the band was named "Hyphen" but due to competition with other bands named the same, we decided to swap the 'n' for an 'x' and become Hyphex. A quick google insertion reassured us: no trace of any other band sharing our name. All we found was a few pages relating of an hypertension-controling-drug prototype called Hyphex. This finding gave even more sence to our music which is by essence relaxing (at least to us!).
We started recording demos in January 2005 when enough material, equipment and time was available. The first recorded songs were How do you feel, Please and CompoX.
An additional recording session took place in July 2005 and the songs Shining, Jordanos and Saint-Petersbourg were recorded. In October 2005, an old song composed in 2003 and entitled 'So Far' was eventualy recorded.
In January 2006 two new songs were composed and recorded. Only the song (called 'Undefined') is avalaible. This song features Annie Grace Helena Ring on pianno.
Later on in 2006, Hyphex welcomed a new member: Olivier joined us on the drums.
As I write these lines we are working on a few more songs...
